Instagram has quickly removed its original idea as a fun app for kids and has become a serious marketing, marketing, network and tool for building audience audiences and brands. One of the world's most popular social networking sites, with over 200 million monthly members sharing 60 million photos and 1.6 billion likes per day.

How cute? The engagement rate for these products on most social networks is less than 0.1%, but Instagram excludes them all. The rate of inclusion of Instagram products in the 2014 Forrester study was 58 times higher than on Facebook.

You can't argue with such numbers. But that's just the middle ground. And as I agree on all online marketing practices, you don’t want to be the norm! It is not a dream or a goal.

Sure, getting 58 times more involved than Facebook sounds good, but you can do even better on Instagram. Whether you’re a big brand or maybe you’re wondering how to be known as Instagram, I don’t want you to strive for balance; I want you to reach for the stars and be an Instagram unicorn. The digital unicorn is a magical, rare creature that surpasses all others in terms of size.

1. Cut your dedicated hashtag.

It's good that you created your company #joesgarage hashtag, but who knows how to use it to share content about you? Make sure it is your profile, but take the game offline and print it on your receipts, in print ads, on your store signs and at relevant events.

2. Build by hastagging

When it comes to Instagram caption ideas, you need to look beyond one word, the hashtags are obvious. Sure, you want to use those, too, but mix them up and use hashtags to tell part of your story. Be funny, playful or sad - don't just associate yourself. The collaborative company WeWork is very active in this, and incorporates an interesting mix of Instagram content, too.

3. Participate in popular discussions.

For all posts, use relevant hashtags such as the # Woodworking carpentry company, for example, and the trend, the most popular hashtags wherever you may be.

Specific hashtags are really similar to long keywords where they show more purpose and help you find the right people, but hashtag-based global hashtags like #instagood, #tbt, #photooftheday or even classic #fun people in general. You need both to achieve growth in a large and noisy network like Instagram.

4. Make the most of your bio URL.

It's a real sale on your Instagram profile ... do you want your bio to be linked to your homepage, now and forever? Yawn. Change it to at least one week and use that click link in your bio to drive traffic to your new or most popular content.

5. Explain your definitions.

A picture is worth a thousand words, but you can't skip words at all. National Geographic is great at using news alongside their Instagram photos to generate engagement and sharing. While traditional media outlets have declined like flies, NatGeo has been nationally successful and has become one of the top brands on Instagram, with over 50 million followers.
